Welcome to my blog
I love to make fun of Arkansas stuff...we natives can do that.
Someday I'll be free to tell the entire story of the past few years of my life. What a challenging journey! You've heard me tell of banking mishaps and my displeasure with that industry where I live.
Then along comes my power company, Entergy. The first huge enterprise with no identifiable policies or procedures...obviously, they "wing it" a lot. In spite of this, the electric service I receive is quite dependable.
In regard to paying my bill and rejecting the 'leveling' previously used, unkind suspicions in my mind turn to plot thickening, scurrilous, images of broken homelessness in my future because Entergy took everything I had left in life.
Contact with a company compaints department was in order...so I thought.
After waiting on the phone while a very confused employee (who thought there was no such department) went to find where in this world there might be a department handling
customer concerns, she reappeared on the phone with an email address that was bogus and my communications were returned to me.
ACTUALLY, TO MY DISMAY, I LEARN THAT THERE IS NO ENTERGY OFFICE ANYWHERE IN THE ENTIRE STATE WHERE I RESIDE AND PAY FOR THEIR SERVICES! Not even a cardboard box with a switchboard operator!
A second phone call to the company resulted in an email that produced an actual response.
Well, I had written a very polite but pointed description of my recent experiences of paying my bill, sometimes twice in a month, resulting in over $1,000 more than I was billed over the past 13 months, including paying any late fees.
Now this story gets REALLY interesting...even continuing into the suspicious mode.
A woman with no title and no 'office hours,' contacted me and wants to try to explain my bill to me. However, she has to call after 9 p.m. I missed her call last night as I was on the phone with someone else when she called about 9:30ish. I emailed her back as her message requested and this morning received a note that she just got my email because she was working 'in a box' and couldn't get to her phone again last night. Stuck in an elevator perhaps?
I have no idea what this means...'working in a box,' but I suppose utility company folks do. She will call again tonight after 9 p.m. and I think a few additional questions on my part are in order...
I hope cell phone service is good in that 'box' because that lady has some 'splaining to do!
