Getting Up Again ...

So many of my friends and I have been down the same paths numerous times with ... family, friends, lovers, colleagues, neighbors ...and on and on.  We have made mistakes, sometimes recieved mistaken responses/reactions, and overcome significant loses.

But life offers this enormous and positive phenomenon ...  it is sometimes referred to as the Do-over.

Personally, I don't believe in 'do-overs'.  And personally, I wouldn't even want one.  

I believe deeply in the gift of 'do new.'  Opportunities we are given to have something that is new, fresh, unsoiled, free from the past ... belonging to NOW.

'Do-New.'  And do it right.  Accept the gift offered...

...And, oh! With such generosity!  Getting up again -- following natural disasters, our own mistakes, the mistakes of others, illnesses -- is just like breathing.  We want to survive.  We want to be our definition of normal.  We want to find a way to make the losses worth something.  We just need to prove our worth ...

We seek significance ... so diligently ... we seek significance.

Make the losses worth something ... and thereby we restore our soul.

Once our hearts have deeply spoken to us that we are healed enough, we begin again.  It is faith in something much bigger than ourselves that makes success possible here.  The faith to be still long enough for our hearts to hear the gift that is coming.  Faith in ourselves to take that very first step toward the independence of a more mature heart and mind ... after all it is this independence which suddenly gives - worth- significance - to past experiences.

We begin to rise.  Nothing can stop us  now...we have the personal power to affect our lives in positive ways with our Do-News ... through the wisdom gained from each and all the losses.  

My Friend ... do it new today.  Make it count as the most significant of all your choices.

The DO-NEW ... power, acceptance, significance ... never do it over ... do it NEW.
