Sitting at my writing desk looking out over the lake and realize that it's time to be thankful...

for being loved by friends

for being loved by my man

for being as healthy as I am

for the sunrise coming across the water of the lake and the sky above it

for the chances in life to forgive and be forgiven

for the opportunities to encourage people I love

for quick little encounters where I can encourage strangers

for grace that makes my life more in the image of my God

for the calm that always returns after life's struggles

for squirrels and birds who decorate my yard

for Duke and Bear who are the daily joys in my home

for occasional happy times in classrooms again

for having been taught about life by wonderful parents

for all the good in my past and the lessons learned throughout

for HOPE for a wonderful today and all the todays coming
