...RESPECT!

Funny how differently men and women look at respect (and a lot of other things).  We've been talking about this lately.  Main difference:  what he sees as 'not trusting me' is what I see as 'not respecting me".  Hummmm

Well, I think women do get a little less respect and we're sensitive to it.  And I think men need to be trusted and are sensitive to it.

While giving so much trust that it hurts her emotionally, a man can still look down on a woman and say, "I wish you trusted me!"  And woman looks up to man and says, "I'd like a little respect!"

How intertwined the two concepts are and how stubbornly man holds to what he has decided in his head, nevermind clarifying anything.  But woman wants to get it 'straightened out.'

Funny with us, he wants to change the subject to, "My bird feeder is empty; I better go fill it up," and I just want to get it all out and over with.  His way takes weeks and weeks.  Mine is over in a day or two.

Gee, I want our love life to be made into a movie...it would be so real...so raw, so romantic, so disturbing, so silly, so REAL!  The love scenes steamy; the slow scenes will feature walking hand in hand; the misunderstanding bringing near disaster; the homelife faltering; the drives exhilarating!  It will star Tom Selleck and Marie Osmond...a handsome couple - like us!  There will have to be scenes on bicycles for me and in an old Jeep for him.

And a few 'I love you's' here and there and some deep face searching...eye gazing.
