The Second Hand Emotion - the second time around...

Or, 'What's Love Got to do, Got to do with it?" (Tina)

"Everybody loves somebody sometime
Everybody falls in love somehow
Something in your kiss just told me
My sometime is now

Everybody finds somebody someplace
There's no telling where love may appear
Something in my heart keeps saying
My someplace is here"

Oh, bless my soul...I can hear Dean Martin crooning these romantic words!  "Everybody loves somebody...."  Yeah!  Except, it seems to be too complicated today.  I wonder what is wrong?!!

Why can't people my age just fall in love?  Why the backing off?  Why the hesitancy to just rush in where angels fear to tread?  Why the fear of one's decendants?

Follow the money!  (And what love has to do with it!)

So what is one to do?  Why - KISS!  (Keep it simple stupid!)  Everybody keeps their own  money.  Everybody keeps their own inheritance plan.  Everybody keeps their own place.  And maybe everybody awards a little of the inheritance a little early.  Viola!  Problem solved!  (I've always been a dreamer!)  Yeah, KISS'in is a good strategy here...my personal sense of fairness tells me that, when mature, folks deserve to keep what they spent their life building.  And keeping promises to the kids is very important!

Hey, for me...ain't no prob...no kids/no promises!

Now for the next step, I've stirred up a little controversy.  Just get married and don't register the license back with the state, who only wants to change your tax status.  Period.  What does the State of Anywhere have to do with a marriage anyway?  Promises, faithfulness, love, consideration, sticking with it, encouraging, affirming...that is the stuffing inside the pillow of marriage!  Firm in the middle and soft around the edges...perhaps a little ribbon here and a few sticks and stones there (furniture and diamonds) and marriage is begun.  For the true-at-heart, it almost always lasts.  Did you know the stats on marriage and divorce are highly inaccurate?  Most marriages last!!!

So, now the kids are satisfied. What's theirs is theirs.  Everybody's still got their pensions, their insurance, their savings, their auto title...ect., etc.  And what's left, two people can begin again on, and prosper on, and thrive...because two are stronger than one and two keep each other warm in the cold world.  What's yet to be concerned about is left to some nice young lawyer who knows how to set up PoAs.

See, simple as can be.  (Did I mention I was always a dreamer?)

But I believe it.  Life is just a Monopoly board game.  Where two hearts meet; there is a big magnetic power to hold them together and all the little hearts can dance their own dances down the 'Boardwalk' and 'collect' when big hearts pass their last 'Liverpool Railroad' ride.  Little Hearts can pay their taxes on the next go round...just four short blocks from "GO!"  It's their turn now.

Simple as can be....(there's a lot of 'real' in me too)

Allllll aboard!  Everybody loves somebody sometime..someplace.  And where love is, there's always somehow.
